Renewable Devices Launch SWIFT Warm Winter Challenge
Monday, 04 August 2008

Renewable Devices was set up back in 2002 to make renewable energy accessible to all by making it affordable, easy to install and reliable. The multi award-winning Swift Rooftop Wind Energy System™ has made this possible.

We at Renewable Devices feel it is time to set an example to other companies in the energy industry by returning the profits from the increasing cost of energy to the ever growing number of fuel poor households in the UK.

  • Every year in the UK people die as a direct result of their inability to afford energy.
  • The number of extra people who die in winter in the UK is double that of all other Scandinavian countries.

  • This excess winter mortality has been as high as 82% in the over 65 age group1.

Something has to change!

Our challenge is simple: We at Renewable Devices will donate 100% of our after tax profit for this entire year to helping alleviate fuel poverty amongst old age pensioners and other energy deprived individuals in the UK if any company, organisation or individual who want to make a real impact on fuel poverty donate 250 Swift wind turbines to fuel poor households in the UK before the onset of this winter.

It’s that simple - we are willing to put our money where our mouth is – are you ?
