The SWIFT, designed by Edinburgh University Engineering Graduates Dr Dave Anderson and Dr Charlie Silverton, is the worlds first silent rooftop wind turbine, and has patented technologies for acoustic suppression.
An exceptional amount of care has been taken in the design of the SWIFT to ensure that it is both technically cutting-edge and aesthetically appealing to encourage integration into a wide range of built environments. In the UK, the SWIFTs recognisable form has become an icon for micro-renewable technology and with an increasing network of international installers the SWIFT is placed to become the leading global micro-wind turbine.
