The Renewable Devices group of companies extended it's renewable energy product development with the creation of Renewable Devices Marine Ltd in September, 2005.

RD Marine was created to develop the Otter™ range of turbines - a two-product range comprising the River Otter™ which will provide electricity generation capability in medium sized hydro flows and the larger Sea Otter™ turbine which will operate in deep marine tidal stream flows.

In September, 2005, RD Marine won the Scottsih Enterprise Spin Out Challenge Competition and is working in partnership with SE's High Growth Unit to take the company through the early stages of it's technical development and investment.

Discussions are underway with a number of potential investment partners and the company is now focused on delivering an Otter™ turbine for field testing and securing additional development funding.
